Useful Ubuntu PPAs

Ubuntu is a great Linux platform: I've used it at work for the most of 3 years now. However, releases tend to be conservative, with updated material often waiting to enter the next version 6 months later. Luckily, PPAs can help keep a system more current: I've included a set of entries to put in your /etc/apt/sources.list file based on what I'm using at the office. You'll also notice each entry has a "sign" to it: thats to tell the system its okay to load.

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys (sign)

When you have the sources.list updated and the keys installed, you can run the following...

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
