GRUB2 & Ubuntu Karmic

I notice as I use versions of Ubuntu Karmic, I have to relearn how to control GRUB. The default install seems to hide the menu or not have a timeout: if I change the defaults and fix the timeout, I'm good.

GRUB2 Ubuntu Reference

# The resolution used on graphical terminal

# you can see them in real GRUB with the command `vbeinfo'
# Uncomment if you don't want GRUB to pass "root=UUID=xxx" parameter to Linux
